Darfur Stoves Project wins Economic Development Award

The Darfur Stoves Project won the 2013 Tech Laureate in the Economic Development category.

Potential Energy, the implementer of the Darfur Stoves Project, received the award by the Tech Museum of Innovation in recognition for its efforts to generate savings for its users and create ongoing revenue for local business partners and the many community-based organizations and women’s development associations who serve as its retail partners.

Potential Energy is the local implementation partner of Impact Carbon, which overseas the Darfur Stoves Project. The SLOW LIFE Foundation provides funding for the project.
