A Climate Justice Scholarship of four years full-tuition is up for grabs at Sterling College.
The unusual offer is in celebration of Sterling College being the first college in Vermont and the third in the US that will meet the challenge of divesting its endowment from the 200 fossil fuel companies identified by 350.org. Sterling College is doing it in an effort to demonstrate its commitment of educating environmental stewards.
The deadline for the Climate Justice Scholarship is 15 April 2013. Applicants must submit a 500-word essay that describes their personal commitment to and experience with environmental stewardship and climate change activism. International students are encouraged to apply.
Sterling College will also award ten USD 5,000 – USD 10,000 merit scholarships to admitted students in recognition of the commitments they have made to environmental stewardship.
