Soneva Resorts won Condé Nast Traveler World Savers Award 2012 in the Doing it All, Small Hotel Chain category.

This is a back-to-back recognition as the company won the same award in 2011, then under the previous trade name Six Senses.

The award confirms that Soneva Resorts continue to be committed to responsible business practices. Not only did Soneva win the Doing it All category, but was also recognized as runner up in three other categories: Health, Poverty and Preservation.

Conde Nast praised the work Soneva has done to help over 600,000 people get access to either safe drinking water or basic sanitation.

Soneva through its sustainable development funds, supports a number of groundbreaking environmental projects around the world including the Soneva Forest Restoration project in Thailand, a UNESCO backed Biosphere Reserve in the Baa Atoll in the Maldives and the introduction of energy efficient cooking stoves in Darfur.
